What is included in the course fee?
The course fee includes the IPM Scrum examination and certification fees, access to all course materials on the Student Hub, live expert-led virtual classes, recordings and unlimited support from our Student Support team. The PSM I certification is optional to the course. The examination fees are paid directly to Scrum.org.
What are the delivery formats available for this course?
- Online. Classes run over two consecutive days online from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Your instructor is a certified Scrum practitioner with real-industry experience. Do not worry about missing an online class – a recording of each online class will be available for playback in the Student Hub for a limited period of time.
- Classroom. Choose classes on campus for in-person learning with industry-expert lecturers. Classes run at the National College of Ireland (Dublin). Please note the scheduling of classroom courses may have been affected by Covid-19.
Is the course applicable to any industry?
Yes, the content of this course is suitable for various industry sectors. We have students from different backgrounds – such as engineering, pharmaceuticals, design, construction, IT and many others – who completed the course successfully.
How is this course assessed?
The course is assessed through a final written examination, which typically takes place four days after the last day of the course. Upon successful completion of this exam, students will receive the IPM Scrum certification. The PSM I certification is optional to the course. The examination fees are paid directly to Scrum.org.
Is the course suitable to people without former project management knowledge/experience?
The course is suitable for individuals from various industry backgrounds and anyone who directly contributes to projects. A foundational understanding of traditional project management tools and processes, and some knowledge of the agile project management approach could be helpful.
What is the IPM Scrum Certification?
IPM Scrum Certification is the Institute’s own unique accreditation that incorporates all the Scrum concepts we believe are the most important for real-life situations. This certificate is more than just attendance of the course as you need to pass the examination in order to get the certificate. The passing rate is 90%. Taking an IPM Scrum certification exam also prepares you for the PSM I certification exam.
What is the examination fee for Professional Scrum Master™ (PSM I)?
The examination fee for PSM I is $150 per attempt. For additional information, please visit the official Scrum.org website.
